On Saturday, August 30, the East Delhi Riders (EDR) and West Delhi Lions (WDL) will play in the Qualifier 2 match of the current Delhi Premier League (DPL 2025) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. In Sunday's grand finale, the Central Delhi Kings will emerge victorious from this tantalising competition.
After playing the Central Delhi-based team in the first qualifying round, the East Delhi Riders easily advanced to the current season's playoffs. Though they lost the game, their improved league-stage performance has allowed them to try again for a berth in the competition's summit showdown. They will therefore be extremely confident in their ability to defeat the West Delhi Lions on Saturday. In relation to the West Delhi Lions, the team had finished third in the league standings and defeated the South Delhi Superstarz in the Eliminator thanks to a game-winning stroke from skipper Nitish Rana. By defeating the team led by Anuj Rawat in New Delhi, they will be able to get past one more obstacle and secure their place in the grand finale.
