Thanks to a superb bowling performance, Pakistan easily defeated Sri Lanka in their opening match in Dambulla. When Shadab Khan returned to the Pakistani national team, he was named Man of the Match. He scored an undefeated 18 off 12 and bagged 2/25 with the ball.
