The last day of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 has arrived after a month of exciting cricket action. On Sunday, March 8, India (IND) and New Zealand (NZ) will square off in the last at the scenic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This will be the fourth time the two sides have faced off in an ICC final. In their respective semifinals, both sides displayed incredible batting performances, and Sunday's final at a venue that hasn't seen a first-innings score lower than 175 this season is probably going to include even more of that.
India advanced to the last round of their outstanding campaign to date. In an attempt to retain their championship, they began in Mumbai with a victory against the USA and secured their spot in the semi-final at the same location by defeating England. Conversely, New Zealand has also enjoyed a fantastic run. Nonetheless, their semi-final triumph over the undefeated South African team in Kolkata by ten wickets is a match that epitomises their campaign of peaking at the perfect time.

Narendra Modi Stadium Pitch Report:
The curators have locked up strip number six, which was used in the first game played at the location in early February, even though the world's largest cricket ground has a variety of pitches available. South Africa's crushing 213 over Canada was the tournament's greatest team score on the well-rested pitch. With red soil predominating over black, the mixed soil pitch will have an uneven balance, giving hitters more true bounce and favourable conditions.
