In Sunday's U19 World Cup 2026 semifinal matchup with Afghanistan U19, India U19 defeated Pakistan U19 by 58 runs. The Ayush Mhatre-led team advanced to the event's final four after eliminating Pakistan U19 halfway through the match. India U19 needed to prevent Pakistan U19 from chasing 253 in 33.3 overs or less in order to advance to the semi-finals and eliminate Pakistan from contention. The Ayush Mhatre-led team was successful in doing so at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo.
Earlier, all-rounders Kanishk Chouhan and Khilan Patel's quickfire 50-run stand was the sole silver lining in India's par score of 252. Kanishk (35 off 29 balls) and Khilan (21 not out off 15 balls) contributed 50 runs in only 5.1 overs to deliver a final flourish after Vedant Trivedi's methodical 68 off 98 balls helped them create a platform. Pakistan U19 were bowled out for 194 during the chase.

Harare Sports Club in Harare Pitch Report:
The Harare Sports Club's surface provides a fair game between bat and ball. Spinners typically come into action as the game goes on, although fast bowlers are sure to receive some help in the early overs, especially with the new ball. Once they settle in, batsmen have typically found it easy to score despite the bowlers' support.
