The Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL 2025) second match pits the Guyana Amazon Warriors Women (GUY W) against the Barbados Royals Women (BR W) at Providence Stadium on Monday. The Guyana-based team only won one of their four games during the season, which prevented them from making it to the championships the previous year.

Nonetheless, they had a strong start to the season after defeating the Trinbago Knight Riders by six runs in their first game. The Barbados Royals Women, the reigning champions, will play their first match of the season and aim to carry on where they left off the previous campaign. Due to shoulder surgery, captain Hayley Matthews has been sidelined for the full season.

Providence Stadium Pitch Report:

Bowlers will have the upper hand because the pitch appears to be slow and difficult. It will be difficult to score later; therefore, batters must take advantage of the power play. The wise decision at the toss will be to bat first because chasing is difficult here.
