Cricket Star Tamim Iqbal Discharged From Hospital After Heart Attack, Doctor Updates on Cricket Return

Four days after having a heart attack during a Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League game, Tamim Iqbal was released from the KPJ Specialized Hospital and Nursing Home. Tamim spent four days in the hospital following an angioplasty procedure on Monday. In the coming days, the doctors could keep an eye on him. The cricket player experienced anxiety prior to Monday's match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Shinepukur Cricket Club, which was preceded by the event.

Given that Mohammedan Sporting Club's physiotherapist had to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the condition appeared to be critical. A cardiologist implanted one of the rings in Tamim's arteries when he regained consciousness. Concerned, Tamim's family went to the hospital to assess his condition.

The star player's predicament took everyone aback. After undergoing angioplasty, he was reportedly released from the KPJ Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. However, it is still unclear whether he will play cricket going forward. According to the physicians, A medical board will convene in three to four months to discuss and determine if he can resume the sport.

It took a while for Tamim to come to. 72 hours following the tragedy would be critical for his health, according to officials. He spent four days in the hospital receiving care. The former Bangladesh captain was sent to another Dhaka hospital following his successful surgery. In the end, he was released on March 28.

Tamim participated in the toss and was Mohammed's captain during the game. However, he experienced difficulty while fielding during the Shinepukur innings and was attended to by medical staff right away. He was then flown away by helicopter. The athlete also required DC shock and CPR from the medical staff. He was transported to the KPJ Hospital in Savar, where a stent was implanted in his heart, and he was transferred to the intensive care unit after the chopper was unable to transport him.
