Left-arm bowler Arshdeep Singh may make his Test debut for India against England in the fifth and final Test match at The Oval. With India behind 1-2 in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, the management is anticipated to make some adjustments to the bowling team, particularly given that Jasprit Bumrah may be rested because of workload concerns.

The first three Test matches of the current series against England did not feature Arshdeep Singh. However, due to Akash Deep's groin problem, he was scheduled to make his debut in the fourth Test match at Manchester. Arshdeep was ruled out of contention after suffering a thumb injury during a practice session in Beckenham, shattering his aspirations. In Arshdeep's absence, Anshul Kambli made his Test debut for India.

Arshdeep Singh Gears Up for Test Debut:

In the previous two Tests, the team management had plans for Arshdeep, according to the TOI report. Arshdeep could balance the bowling unit since Mohammed Siraj's weariness is a worry, and Bumrah is probably going to be rested. Jaswant Rai, his boyhood coach, also supported his desire to make his red-ball debut.

India's bowling lineup will undergo another adjustment as a result of his participation. The final decision on Jasprit Bumrah's involvement will be made closer to the game. Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep are anticipated to be the other two seamers. Since Zaheer Khan, Arshdeep is thought to be the most promising left-arm seamer. Although his performance in London is still unknown, there seems to be a lot of faith in his character and abilities.

Over the past month, the left-armer has been honing his red-ball skills under the guidance of bowling coach Morne Morkel. Siraj and Akash Deep are anticipated to be the other seamers in the lineup in addition to Arshdeep. When match day approaches, a definitive decision regarding Bumrah is probably going to be made. Additionally, Kuldeep Yadav might take Shardul Thakur's position, offering a wrist-spin alternative. The visitors will have an opportunity to tie the series with the series on the line in the Oval Test.
