In the most recent ICC Women's ODI rankings, which were released on Tuesday, India's captain Harmanpreet Kaur has effectively risen to a joint tenth position. This comes after she played a pivotal part in India's victory against New Zealand by six wickets in the third ODI in Ahmedabad.
Even though opener Smriti Mandhana and all-rounder Deepti Sharma received significant rating points for their excellent performances in the day-night match that helped India win the series 2-1, Kaur, who had dropped three spots after the first two matches, scored 59 not out off 63 balls to secure the joint-ninth rank.
India's Deepti Sharma, who currently holds second place with 703 rating points, made significant progress in the bowling department. India's third-place finish in the ICC Women's Championship highlights their increasing strength on the global scene.
