The multi-city trip across India and Sri Lanka that celebrated women's cricket and motivated the upcoming generation of players came to an end in Colombo with the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 trophy tour. In order to generate excitement for the 13th edition of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, the tour stopped at Mumbai, Indore, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and Colombo.

In advance of the eagerly awaited international event, which begins on Tuesday, September 30, with a match between India and Sri Lanka at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, it gave supporters a chance to interact with the coveted trophy. The trip, which built anticipation for the 13th edition of the ICC Women's World Cup, went through Mumbai, Indore, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and ended in Colombo.

ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Trophy Tour Update:

During a women's developing competition at the Colombo Cricket Club, the trophy was on display, allowing young players to touch it and take pictures. A colourful parade featuring national players Harshitha, Vishmi Gunarathne, and Tharuka Shehan, as well as fervent supporters, was later staged at the Sirasa TV campus, where it was warmly welcomed.

Traditional Sri Lankan drummers welcomed the trophy as it was on display at the famous Lotus Tower. Fans had the opportunity to snap pictures with the trophy and meet players like Kavisha Dilhari, Sugandika Kumari, Anushka Sanjeewani, and Inoka Ranaweera. At Devi Balika Vidyalaya, where the tour came to an end, students engaged in cricket-themed activities with national players Kaushini Nuthyangana, Hansima Karunaratne, and Tharuka.

Five locations—DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, ACA Stadium in Guwahati, Holkar Stadium in Indore, ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, and R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka—will host the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 from September 30 to November 2. Tickets are the cheapest ever for an ICC worldwide tournament, starting at just ₹100 (about USD 1.13).
