The second and third 50-over matches between India A and Australia A are scheduled for October 3 and October 5, respectively, in Kanpur, and Abhishek Sharma is included in the team for both matches. He entered the series having been named Player of the Tournament in the Asia Cup 2025, which India won.

Abhishek went to his sister Komal Sharma's pre-wedding event in Ludhiana after assisting India in winning a record-breaking ninth Asia Cup championship. The southpaw and guru Yuvraj Singh were spotted dancing enthusiastically during the ceremony. The date of Komal's wedding is set for Friday, October 3. This, however, conflicts with India A's second match versus Australia A in 50 overs.

Abhishek Sharma Chooses Cricket Over Celebration:

Abhishek is now in Kanpur, where Australia A is playing India A in an unofficial ODI series. Abhishek was included in the squad for the second game after India won the first one. Once again demonstrating his dedication to cricket, the 23-year-old chose it over family celebrations. Abhishek did take part in pre-wedding events such as the Haldi and Mehndi ceremonies in Ludhiana before departing for Kanpur. His guru, Yuvraj Singh, joined in the festivities, and pictures of him having fun with his family went viral on social media. However, Abhishek put his cricketing responsibilities first when it came to the major event.

In his 61 List A appearances, the 25-year-old has scored 2014 runs with a strike rate of 99.21 and an average of 35.33. Abhishek Sharma has amassed four hundred and eight fifties. In the format, the Punjabi star has also claimed 38 wickets, including the highest total of 4/56.

Except for the final, Abhishek gave India some thrilling starts in every Asia Cup match. At a strike rate of 200 and an average of 44.86, he scored 314 runs in seven innings. Despite India's rapid wicket losses in several games, Abhishek played with incredible consistency throughout the tournament, showing no signs of restraining his aggressive tendencies.
