India Women dominated Ireland Women in the second ODI in Rajkot, defeating them by 116 runs and securing a 2-0 series lead with one game to play. The second Women's One-Day International in the ongoing series between India and Ireland took place at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. The hosts dominated the first innings, thanks to Jemimah Rodrigues' sensational century. Jemimah got off to a poor start when the Indians lost two wickets in quick succession.

After deciding to bat first on level ground, Indian openers Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal got the team off to a flying start with a 156-run partnership in just 19 overs. Mandhana's 73 off 54 balls, with 10 fours and two sixes, and Rawal's steady 67 lay the groundwork. However, both fell on successive deliveries, giving Ireland the opportunity to slow things down.

Jemimah Rodrigues stuns in ODI:

The Mumbai batsman joined Harleen Deol (89 off 84) at the crease, and after a cautious start to the partnership, the two began hitting boundaries for fun. Harleen and Jemimah scored a stunning 183 runs together before the former fell just eleven runs short of a well-deserved hundred. Harleen's knock included 12 fours, and she appeared to be in complete control until she was dismissed by Arlen Kelly in the 48th over of the innings.

Georgina Dempsey was Ireland's standout bowler, allowing 42 runs for one wicket in her 8 overs. Orla Prendergast and Arlene Kelly each took two wickets, although they were pricey.  A hundred in the same game added icing to the cake, making the day even more unforgettable. Her creative 'guitar' celebration after the hundred spoke volumes about how memorable the experience was for the youngster.

With this victory, India not only won the series but also demonstrated their batting depth and bowling efficiency. Jemimah Rodrigues was named Player of the Match for her outstanding century. The two teams will face again for the final ODI, with India seeking a clean sweep and Ireland hoping for a consolation win.
