India and Pakistan are scheduled to play cricket on September 14, less than three weeks from now, as planned. However, Indian cricket supporters want the Board of Control of Cricket in India to avoid playing Pakistan at the continental tournament because the scars from the Pahalgam attack are still raw. On Friday, #BoycottAsiaCup is trending on X for the same reason.

Previous reports indicated that India might not even receive approval from the BCCI to participate. Later on, though, it was made clear that they would actually participate. The public was strongly opposed to any cooperation with Pakistan, particularly in the wake of the horrifying Pahalgam terror attacks that killed numerous innocent tourists, and this specific news in particular caused a great deal of hatred.

IND-PAK Asia Cup Controversy:

It would be interesting to watch if there is a last-minute twist to this as the outcry to boycott that well-known game swells. India would undoubtedly be the favorites to win the match if it were to take place. For those who are unaware, when the two teams play cricket, a significant amount of money is also at risk. Fans' reactions to it on social media are seen here.

For those who are unaware, a few Indian cricket players publicly expressed their dissatisfaction of playing in two of the World Championship of Legends matches. As a result, the matches were canceled before a ball was even thrown. The behavior of those cricket players is being compared by commentators to that of the present crop, none of whom have yet to exhibit overt signs of discontent.

India's 15-man team and five standby players were revealed at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai by T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, who is also the chairperson of the All India Men's Senior Selection Committee. The match between India and Pakistan is set for September 14 at Dubai's Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
