The last stretch of the Ranji Trophy 2024–25 season has begun. Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Vidarbha, Kerala, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir are among the eight teams that are still in the running for the championship. On February 8, the season will restart with the quarterfinals held at different locations across the nation.
With Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Vidarbha, Kerala, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir in the running, the Ranji Trophy 2024–25 season has advanced to the quarterfinals. The games begin on February 8. Jammu & Kashmir, on the other side, finished first in Group A, making them the season's surprise package. J&K made it to the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals for just the third time in history, and they did so in spectacular fashion, winning five of their seven games. In the sixth round, they defeated Mumbai, which was their most noteworthy triumph.

Shivam Dube and India's T20 skipper Suryakumar Yadav have been added to Mumbai's 18-man roster for their match against Haryana in the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals, which begins on February 8. Both Suryakumar and Dube participated in the recently finished India-England five-match Twenty20 International series. While Suryakumar was a member of the Mumbai team during their October match against Maharashtra, Dube was a member of the all-star home team that lost to J&K last month and featured India Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
