According to reports, former Indian cricketers Rahul Dravid and Ravichandran Ashwin will own franchises in the upcoming European T20 Premier League (ETPL), giving the competition a lot of star power before its first season. Teams from several European cricket markets are anticipated to compete in the competition, which is set to start in August.
The group interested in buying a share in the remaining Scottish squad in the six-team competition, which is scheduled to start later this year, is led by Dravid and Ashwin, according to a BBC story. For the forthcoming franchise league, this Glasgow-based team will join teams currently located in Amsterdam, Belfast, and Edinburgh.
The cricket associations of Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands collaborated to create the ETPL, which now has three teams announced and three more to come. In addition to Ashwin and Dravid's team, the Rotterdam-based team is also being funded by a different unit headed by South African talent Heinrich Klaasen, Faf du Plessis, and Jonty Rhodes. According to the BBC report, the two teams are now anticipated to be disclosed and announced at a ceremony at the end of this month.

Dravid has been involved with Scottish cricket for almost twenty years. Playing for Scotland in 11 games in the National Cricket League's second division during the 2003 English one-day competition was a memorable experience for the former head coach of India. Dravid had a fantastic batting performance over such a short time, amassing 600 runs at an average of 66.66. With a remarkable strike rate of 92.73, he amassed three hundreds and two half-centuries. He scored 114 runs with ease in one of his most famous innings against Northamptonshire County Cricket Club.
The Dublin-based team, which has drawn attention from two hundred franchises, will be the sole team still available for acquisition. Cricket players like Mitchell Marsh and Steven Smith are scheduled to play in this league, and the owners of the other teams include names like Glenn Maxwell, Nathan McCullum, and Steve Waugh.
