Several of India's players have risen in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) rankings, which are released every Wednesday, as a result of their Champions Trophy 2025 victory. Rohit Sharma, the captain, moved up two spots to third place after winning Player of the Match (POTM) for his 83-ball 76 in the final. Virat Kohli rose to sixth place in the tournament with 218 runs. With the exception of India's Champions Trophy opener against Bangladesh, Shreyas Iyer maintained his position at No. 8 by scoring 40 or more in each game.
In Sunday's final in Dubai, India defeated New Zealand by four wickets to win their third Champions Trophy. After an outstanding competition, teenage opener Shubman Gill, one of the standouts, maintained his position as the top ODI hitter. The best performers in New Zealand also saw notable advancements. In the ODI batter rankings, Glenn Phillips moved up six ranks to 24th, Rachin Ravindra shot up 14 spots to 14th, and Daryl Mitchell jumped one spot to sixth.

Mitchell Santner, the captain of New Zealand, made the biggest jump on the bowling front, going six spots up to second after taking nine wickets, including two in the final. In the rankings of ODI bowlers, he is now surpassed only by Maheesh Theekshana, a spinner from Sri Lanka. Kuldeep Yadav has risen to the third spot in the bowlers' rankings. With an outstanding economy rate of 4.35, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja ended in tenth place. During the eight-team competition, Jadeja bowled 42 overs, which is noteworthy.Â
Azmatullah Omarzai of Afghanistan is still atop the all-rounder rankings, but Mitchell Santner, Michael Bracewell, and Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand have reduced the gap. After his outstanding exploits, which included two hundred and three wickets and earned him the title of "Player of the Tournament," Santner rose to fourth position, Bracewell leapt seven spaces to seventh, and Ravindra soared eight spots to eighth.
