16 warm-up matches will take place prior to the T20 World Cup 2026 as countries give final shape to their preparations for the showcase competition. While the India "A" squad will play a few of these games to aid other teams in preparation, the reigning champions will just play one warm-up match.

In India, two grounds at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru will play host to events, while the remaining warm-up matches in India will take place at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The capital of Sri Lanka will host games at the SSC Cricket Ground, R. Premadasa Stadium, and Colombo Cricket Club Ground.

T20 World Cup 2026 Warm-Up Matches Schedule:

South Africa, the tournament's runners-up, will face India, the overwhelming favourites to win. Both teams will want to put their top players to the test in what is expected to be the most prominent warm-up game.
