Temba Bavuma takes up commentary role for T20 World Cup 2026

Temba Bavuma, the captain of the Proteas Test and ODI teams, will commentate for the first time at the ICC T20 World Cup, which begins in India and Sri Lanka on Saturday. At the worldwide jamboree, Bavuma will be joined by prominent South African pundits Mpumelelo Mbangwa, Natalie Germanos, Dale Steyn, Shaun Pollock, and Kass Naidoo.

In addition to providing licensees with live coverage of every game, ICC TV will offer a comprehensive globe feed service, guaranteeing reliable, superior coverage in every market.

With a comprehensive broadcast offering that includes a pre-match show, innings interval program, post-match wrap-up, and daily highlights shows that tell the entire tournament story from the first match to the championship game, viewers will be able to watch every match of the tournament.

T20 World Cup 2026 Commentary Panel:

Bavuma said, “The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup always brings out the best of people and performances. Whether you’re in the middle, in the stands or watching from your sofa, the intensity of this tournament is unmistakable and will be felt all over the world.”

With the use of eight broadcast kits that can deploy up to 45 cameras to record the action with depth, accuracy, and editorial flexibility, six committed production crews will deliver the tournament throughout the eight venues in India and Sri Lanka. To make the event a reality, ICC TV will work closely with equipment services partner NEP and production services partner JioStar.

The event will be delivered by about 720 broadcast professionals in a variety of positions, including production, technical operations, editorial, graphics, data, and broadcast management. With professionals from over 20 different countries, the broadcast staff represents the tournament's global reach.
