The decision was made in response to the match officials' report after the USA's match against Ireland in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier 2026 in Nepal, according to the ICC website. After watching the video from Vaghela's next game, the ICC Event Panel determined that her bowling motion was against the regulations.

Following the USA's encounter with Ireland in the current qualifier, match officials reported Vaghela. The report initiated a thorough review procedure in accordance with ICC procedures. After seeing film from Vaghela's subsequent game, the ICC's Event Panel determined that her bowling action did not adhere to the legal restrictions on bowling motions. The tribunal immediately banned Vaghela from bowling in any international cricket, in accordance with Article 6.7 of the ICC regulations.

USA Cricketer Isani Vaghela Suspended:

An ICC statement said, "In accordance with Article 6.7 of the regulations, she is suspended from bowling in international cricket." Until a reevaluation confirms that she can bowl without using an illegal action, the suspension will be in effect. The USA seam bowler's suspension takes effect right away, and she won't be able to bowl in any international games until she passes the reevaluation. The action demonstrates the ICC's continuous efforts to guarantee integrity and fairness in the women's game.

The ICC confirmed the ruling in an official statement, claiming that Vaghela's behaviour was against the fair bowling regulations. The 20-year-old pacer will not be permitted to bowl in any international match due to the suspension unless she is certified by the ICC to resume bowling following a legal process and passes a reassessment.

Her absence as a front-line seamer undermines the team's bowling capabilities, even if she is still qualified to represent the USA as a specialised hitter. Vaghela had been playing well in the USA before the suspension, taking four wickets at an economy rate of 6.40 in six games.
