The batting icon and former captain of India, Virat Kohli, gave a moving eulogy to the late business magnate Ratan Tata on Wednesday night. Tata, a Padma Vibhushan recipient, passed away in Mumbai on Monday after receiving treatment in intensive care. His passing had a significant impact on many people throughout the country.

Born in Mumbai on December 28, 1937, Ratan Tata started his career with the Tata Group as a young executive in 1962. He turned the organization into an international behemoth throughout the years. In 2008, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian honour in India, in recognition of his achievements. He also went on to collect other honorary doctorates from prominent Indian and international universities.
According to a family statement, Tata's surviving family members include his brothers and sisters Simone and Jimmy Tata, Noel and Aloo Tata, Shireen and Deanne Jejeebhoy, Leah and Maya Tata, Neville and Manasi Tata, Jamset and Tiana Tata, and others.
