Legendary Australian opener David Warner was seen on Tuesday in Melbourne, sporting a golden pistol and a blinding white shirt. The 37-year-old batter, who is well-known for his electrifying on-field displays, appears to be making a move into show business. Warner just said goodbye to the cricket World Cup and took part in an unconventional film production beside the gorgeous Yarra River. With a dazzling red helicopter, some machine guns hauling "heavies" on the pier, and Warner channelling his inner James Bond, the scenario was nothing short of a Hollywood movie.
The cricket player, resembling the legendary TV detective Kojak from the 1970s, was sucking on a giant lollipop while walking with a swagger in his white slacks. The real spectacle, though, came when Warner pulled out a gilded revolver. Warner's entry into the glamorous realm of Indian film would not be its first. He debuted in a viral fintech firm commercial earlier this year with famed filmmaker SS Rajamouli in a Telugu flick.
David Warner is ready to take over the silver screen:

In the advertisement, Warner could be seen jokingly haggling with Rajamouli for match ticket discounts and even envisioning himself as the protagonist of a classic period drama called "Bahubali". A new phase in Warner's career in show business appears to be this current assignment in Melbourne. On the Caribbean island, the southpaw most recently appeared in MAX60 2024. With 297 runs in eight innings, Warner, who was leading the Boca Raton Trailblazers, became the season's greatest run scorer.
The internet has gone gaga over his new look. As soon as the video was dropped on social media, the netizens couldn't contain themselves and filled the comment section with excitment.
