India and Bangladesh are deep into the ongoing multi-format series' first Test. On September 19, after India lost the toss and had to bat first in the opening Test of the series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, a moment from the opening session drew the attention of the spectators. When Rishabh Pant walked out to bat after India had lost their opening three wickets, he was furious because one of Bangladesh's fielders had hit him by mistake with the ball.
It's important to remember that players like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Rohit Sharma were unable to contribute during the match's opening innings. Pant walked out to bat and the hosts were reduced to 34/3. When the event occurred, Pant was batting with a 14-run lead in the 16th over of the first innings. Pant was overthrown at this very moment, and he then got into a fight with Litton Das.

The video has gone viral on social media. Pant responded to Das, reflecting on the occasion, "Usko bhi to dekho, merko kyu mar raha hai? (See your player too; what's the deal with him hitting me?)" Notably, India's innings steadied after a rather erratic start because of the tenacity of Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal. By the end of the first session, both batsmen had contributed to India's 88 runs at three wickets lost.
After the first three blows of the day, Pant and Jaiswal established a strong 54-run combination before lunch, preventing Bangladesh from making any more inroads. Following lunch, KL Rahul came out to support Jaiswal, and Pant was eventually sent back to the pavilion with a score of 39 runs in 52 deliveries.
