In India, not only do cricket players take the game seriously, but fans also devote their time and effort to it. Many fans worship their favourite players like their Gods. After Day 4 of the first Test match between India and New Zealand, which was played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, there was a recent incident involving the same.

An ardent supporter who rode a bicycle from his hometown of Lucknow to Bengaluru specifically to meet Indian batsman Virat Kohli told his story. In addition to wearing a white jacket with Kohli's photographs on it and a banner with a collage of Kohli, Vinay Kumar had the Indian tricolour displayed behind his seat.

He added that he had been wanting to meet Kohli and was a little disappointed that he had not been able to do so, even though he had been to the team hotel. He also talked about his failed attempt to spend time with the Indian superstar when he walked from Lucknow to Mumbai to visit Kohli's home. The fan also stated in the same video that he plans to visit Pune in the same way on his next adventure.

The internet is buzzing with the viral video of this fan. Many netizens came in support of the fan and prayed that he get to meet his idol soon. It will be interesting to see if the fan will finally get to meet his idol Virat Kohli in Pune. During an interview, the fan revealed, "My name is Vinay Kumar, and I rode a bike from Lucknow. I travelled from Lucknow to Bengaluru to meet Virat Sir. The date of my departure from Lucknow was August 29, 2024, sir. I have yet to have the opportunity to meet him. I attempted to see Kohli at the hotel today but was unable to do so."
