New Zealand recorded a historic eight-wicket victory in Bengaluru on Sunday, giving India a reality check. Despite winning the toss and choosing to bat, Rohit Sharma's team, who had been winning six straight games, including a clean sweep over Bangladesh last month, had nothing going for them. They were dismissed for their lowest-ever score at home, only 46 runs.
In a recent spotting, star cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma were recently photographed attending Krishna Das Kirtanat Nesco in Mumbai on Sunday, October 20. They left their everyday routines to attend the Kirtan, a night of divine devotion. Virat Kohli may use the kirtan as a means of escape following India's first Test loss to New Zealand. In the opening Test of the current three-match series, New Zealand defeated India by eight wickets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma seek solace:
Regarding the Kirtan event, Virat and Anushka were photographed sitting in the front row. The event organizers even posted images of the couple interacting with the audience. "Virat and Anushka joined us at Krishna Das Live in Mumbai today, seeking blessings and connecting with the serene atmosphere. Their presence added to the collective devotion, making the gathering even more special,” the organizers noted in an Instagram post.

It's also important to remember that this wasn't their first time attending the Krishna Das Kirtan. In July 2024, the pair was photographed on a comparable occasion in London.
Talking about the current India-New Zealand series, after a strong showing by the visitors, New Zealand won the opening Test of the series. India will, however, be hoping for a better showing as the second Test draws near. It's interesting to note that India and New Zealand will face off in the second Test of the series starting on Thursday, October 24 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. India will need to defeat New Zealand in their upcoming match if they hope to advance to their third consecutive WTC final.
