In the T20 World Cup 2026 Final on March 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India's wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan created a spectacular moment by making an incredible catch to eliminate Rachin Ravindra and give India an early lead.

During the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 final, Ishan Kishan made an incredible catch to remove Rachin Ravindra off Jasprit Bumrah's ball. The moment arrived when Jasprit Bumrah, India's top pacer, was brought into the attack in the fourth over, just as he had started the match against England in the semi-final. Ravindra was tempted to try a pick-up flick when Bumrah bowled a delivery on the leg stump line. The New Zealand batsman, however, miscued the drive off the thick inside edge after failing to connect it cleanly.

This wicket, which complemented India's potent batting effort and demonstrated Kishan's remarkable athleticism and alertness in the field, gave India a significant breakthrough. In terms of the game, India scored an incredible 255/5 in their 20 overs as a result of multiple outstanding batting performances. Leading the assault with an incredible 89 off 46 balls, Sanju Samson hit eight sixes and five fours with a strike rate of 193.48. The tone for India's significant total was established by his forceful knock.

With a brief cameo of 26 not out off eight balls, all-rounder Shivam Dube added the final touch and made sure India reached the 250-run threshold. James Neesham, who took 3/46 in his four overs, was New Zealand's best bowler. After defeating South Africa in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup, India joined the competition as the reigning champions. India would become the first team to win the trophy three times if they won the 2026 final.
