Watch: Yuzvendra Chahal and RJ Mahvash Gets Flash Mob Birthday Surprise in London

Yuzvendra Chahal, an Indian cricketer, celebrated his 35th birthday on July 23 with what he called the most outrageous birthday party he had ever attended. The leg-spinner, who is currently playing for Northamptonshire in England, was caught off guard when a flash mob appeared on the streets of London. RJ Mahvash also made a special appearance during the party. As soon as the flash mob video went viral, both fans and celebs took notice and flooded social media with birthday greetings.

Chahal was given the greatest surprise of his life, and he was in complete shock. As Yuzi shared the video, he wrote, “Hum ladko ki kabhi kabhi puri life bhi nikal jaati hai bina birthday celebrate kare 😂 This is my first birthday surprise in 3 decades and probably the craziest! And the world was spinning when all of this was happening! Numb. Grateful. Overwhelmed. Hope we all get friends who make such efforts to make us smile 🥹 Meanwhile, I am still trying to digest this fact that this HAPPENED IN REAL."

When Chahal's marriage to choreographer Dhanashree Verma terminated in March 2025, rumours about their connection started to circulate. Mahvash has since been spotted with Chahal on many occasions, including during this time in London. It's interesting to note that in a recent episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, Chahal seemed to give away a lot about his dating status. Kiku Sharda asked him about the girl that everyone has been talking about when he was sitting on the couch with Rishabh Pant and Gautam Gambhir. Chahal smirked and replied, "India jaan chuka hai, 4 mahine pehle," which admirers interpreted as an overt affirmation that Mahvash is the one.

After submitting a mutually consenting divorce petition to a Mumbai court, Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma formally called it quits on their marriage in March 2025. According to reports, the couple had been living apart since the middle of 2022. Although preliminary court hearings caused a delay, the Bombay High Court granted an early divorce shortly before the Indian Premier League 2025 season.
