The Mumbai Indians defeated table-toppers Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 15 runs in Vadodara thanks to a remarkable century from Nat Sciver-Brunt, maintaining their hopes of making the WPL 2026 playoffs. Sciver-Brunt helped MI to 199/4 in 20 overs with an undefeated 100 off 57 balls, the first century in WPL history. With Hayley Matthews scoring 56 off 39 balls, the England captain combined 131 runs for the second wicket. After RCB was struggling at 35 for 5 during the powerplay, Richa Ghosh hit 10 fours and six sixes to knock 90 off 50 balls in her team's 184 for 9, and MI bowlers seemed helpless against her.

Lauren Bell, who finished with statistics of 2/21, was the best bowler for the RCB Women. RCB Women responded with a valiant effort but ultimately failed, scoring 184/9 in their allocated overs. A heroic knock of 90 off 50 balls was played by Richa Ghosh. With the ball, Matthews once again excelled for MI Women, taking three wickets for just ten runs in her two overs and successfully halting RCB's chase at pivotal points.
