Actor Paresh Rawal recently announced in an interview that he is returning to Hera Pheri 3 after being sued by Akshay Kumar's production business and having to return Rs 11 lakh with interest. Since Paresh Rawal revealed his departure from the movie in an X post in May, the movie has been enmeshed in controversy. Reports state that Akshay Kumar quickly filed a lawsuit against his regular collaborator for obstructing the shoot and sought Rs 25 crore in damages.

In May 2025, Paresh Rawal made a shocking announcement: he was leaving the highly anticipated third edition of the renowned comedy franchise. Fans were devastated and wondered how Hera Pheri 3 could be made without Baburao's iconic squinting bewilderment and golden one-liners. Even celebrities like Sonakshi Sinha and Johnny Lever expressed their sadness on social media, stating that the movie wouldn't be the same without him.
