According to recent reports, Paresh Rawal returned the signing fee plus 15% interest amid a dispute over his decision to leave Hera Pheri 3. A Bollywood Hungama rumour claims that Paresh was paid ₹15 crore to work on the movie. The article reportedly stated that the actor had "reservations" with a certain term sheet section.
The film's producer, Akshay Kumar, allegedly threatened the actor with legal and criminal action after sending him a notification stating that he had already received Rs 11 lakh as a partial payment when he filmed the movie's promotional video and other footage. According to recent sources, Paresh has given the aforementioned sum back to Akshay Kumar's production company, along with a 15% interest rate.
Paresh Rawal Exits Hera Pheri 3:
According to reports, Paresh Rawal paid more than the interest and signing fee. "Paresh Rawal has returned the signing amount of ₹11 lakhs with 15% p.a. interest and also a little more money for stepping away from the series," Bollywood Hungama said, citing its source. According to the term sheet, Paresh Rawal received ₹11 lakhs as a signing bonus. His entire cost was set at 15 crores.
According to the report, Paresh's contract stipulated that he would get the remaining sum of Rs 14.89 crore one month following the release of the movie. It seems that Paresh objected to this clause. This provision would have delayed Paresh's payment for almost two years because the movie wouldn't be released until 2026 or 2027. On the subject, Paresh and his group have not yet released a statement.
The film industry and franchise fans, who have been anticipating the third instalment for nearly two decades, were taken aback by Paresh's abrupt exit from the project last week. Hera Pheri 3 producer Akshay Kumar filed a lawsuit against Paresh for his conduct. In a chat with PTI on Thursday, Akshay's legal team expressed optimism that a solution will be found. Additionally, they warned that Paresh would face "severe legal consequences" for leaving the project in the middle.
