Aamir Khan is getting ready for Sitaare Zameen Par's premiere. The fact that Aamir intends to put the movie on YouTube rather than any over-the-top site following its theatrical run is one of the numerous reasons it is making headlines. In front of hundreds of fans, he arranged a Taare Zameen Par Fan Meetup with the cast of the 2007 classic as part of the movie's promotion. It's interesting that at this event, another YouTube connection was made about Taare Zameen Par.
After the film's eight-week theatrical run, Aamir originally intended to distribute it on YouTube using a pay-per-view business model. The goal of this move was to make the movie more widely available, particularly in Tier-2 and Tier-3 areas where there is less demand for subscription-based OTT platforms. In order to obtain exclusive streaming rights, Netflix reportedly raised its bid for the movie's digital rights from Rs 50–60 crore to an incredible Rs 125 crore.

Aamir may distribute the film for free on YouTube, according to PR pieces that followed. However, there are currently rumours that the film won't be released digitally at all. The audience is left perplexed as to whether they should purchase a membership or hold off till the film is released for free because the entire fiesta is becoming more confusing than the movie itself.
On social media, the contradictory stories have sparked a lot of conjecture. Some people believe the debate is merely a calculated publicity gimmick to build excitement for the movie's debut. These reports have been refuted by a Netflix source, who called them "completely untrue" and dismissed them as unfounded rumours. Despite the outcry, neither Aamir nor any of the crew members has explained what will happen to the movie when it opens. The film's producers seem eager to avoid any PR blunders as the release date approaches.
