A "digital-first" approach is being taken in the design of this season. Episodes will premiere on Colors TV with a 90-minute lead for digital viewers after first streaming on Disney+ Hotstar (JioCinema). The action attempts to increase online engagement and is in line with shifting viewer patterns. With a duration of more than five months, Bigg Boss 19 is anticipated to be the longest season ever. According to preliminary rumours, the show is scheduled to premiere on the final weekend of August, namely on August 29 or 30.
