Bigg Boss Tamil season 9 will finally return to television on October 5, ending the wait. Vijay Sethupathi, who took over as host after Kamal Haasan departed the program after season 7, will return this season. All of the fan speculation regarding his return has been put to rest by his announcement. The channel used Instagram on Saturday to formally introduce the latest season of the show. A poster featuring Vijay Sethupathi wearing a denim jacket was released in conjunction with the show's announcement. 

JioCinema will stream Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 in addition to Vijay Television. October 5 is the date of the grand premiere. Regarding his career, Vijay Sethupathi has been working on several projects. One of his next ventures is a new film directed by Puri Jagannadh, which also features Tabu and Samyuktha. In July, a muhurat puja was held in Hyderabad to kick off filming.
