Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the eagerly awaited action sequel, is now experiencing an unparalleled rampage mode at the box office, laying the groundwork for a historic debut. The advance booking figures from both local and international markets point to a huge surge of excitement for the picture, which will have special premieres on March 18 and a global cinema release on March 19. With pre-sales momentum already on par with some of the biggest blockbusters of the post-pandemic era, early tracking data indicates a huge opening.
Dhurandhar 2 became the fifth biggest grossing Hindi movie of 2026 little than a day after its trailer was released and reservations began (only for paid previews on March 18). At Rs 7.95 crore, the majority of its bookings came from its original Hindi version. The movie has already earned Rs 8.06 crore at the domestic box office when you include its earnings from paid previews in South Indian languages.
Dhurandhar 2 Historic Booking Buzz:
Domestically, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is leading the Indian box office, especially in the Hindi belt. With blocked seats included, the premiere shows' total All India gross is currently over 13 crores. This gain is mostly due to the Hindi version, which has an average ticket price of ₹434. The Hindi 2D format is now experiencing the biggest number of shows and occupancy, even though the movie is also being released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
After Sunny Deol's period war drama Border 2 (Rs 328.57 crore), Vishal Bhardwaj's Shahid Kapoor film O' Romeo (Rs 69.40 crore), Rani Mukerji's police drama Mardaani 3 (Rs 50.38 crore), and Vipul Shah's The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond (Rs 29.40 crore), it is already the fifth highest grossing Hindi film of 2026.
On March 18, the paid preview for Dhurandhar 2 will commence at 4:45 p.m. (with Mumbai getting a head start) and run until 11 p.m. The three major theatre chains, PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, appear to have set a new premium price for the tickets at Rs 2,000 to capitalise on the enormous demand and excitement around the sequel.
