First Look: Ajay Devgn's Mega Action Comedy Son Of Sardaar 2 Movie Gets a Release Date

Thursday was a surprise for fans who had been anxiously awaiting word on Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar sequel. The actor announced the July 25 release date of his forthcoming action comedy on his X account. He posted the new poster, which shows him in a turban, on social media with the statement, “The Return of the Sardaar #SOS2 in cinemas near you on 25th July. #SardaarIsBack #SonOfSardaar2, @mrunalthakur @officialjiostudios @devgnfilms @tseries.official.”

Mrunal Thakur stars in Son of Sardaar 2, which is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora. Sonakshi Sinha played the lead in the first movie. According to reports, the filmmakers are starting over rather than where the first film left off. The actor informed fans of the upcoming comedy's July 25, 2025, release date by using the hashtags #SardaarIsBack and #SOS2.

Devgn reprises his legendary role in the follow-up to the 2012 movie Son of Sardaar, which also stars Mrunal Thakur as the lead actress. Supported by Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and T-Series, the movie promises the ideal balance of humour, action, and intense drama. 

The movie has been enmeshed in controversy ever since it was unveiled. According to Pinkvilla, Vijay Raaz was kicked out of Son of Sardaar 2 for acting in an unprofessional manner. Furthermore, it has been stated that Sanjay Dutt has been removed from the movie due to his visa issues. In the movie, Ajay and Sanjay were supposed to play Billu and Jassi, respectively. In the movie, Ravi Kishan took his place.

On the other hand, Ajay is getting ready for the premiere of Maa, starring Kajol and which he co-produced. The film, which was directed by Vishal Furia, features Kajol as a loving mother who will stop at nothing to rescue her daughter from enigmatic powers. On June 27, Maa will be released.

Raid 2 was the last time fans saw Ajay on film. Ajay made a comeback in the movie as Indian Revenue Service Officer Amay Patnaik, who raids Dada Manohar Bhai's estate. Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor were also featured.
