Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh and the crew of his next Punjabi movie Sardaar Ji 3 have come under fire from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) for using Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. FWICE has called for Diljit, producers Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu, and director Amar Hundal to be banned from the Indian film industry in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) voiced "deep outrage" and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take strict and immediate action against Diljit Dosanjh, the star of the upcoming Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3, which stars Pakistani actor Hania Aamir. This came a day after the trailer for the film was released. The FWICE denounced director Amar Hundal, producers Manmord Sidhu and Gunbir Singh Sidhu, according to news agency ANI.
FWICE Not Happy With Hania Aamir in Sardaarji 3:
According to the letter, Diljit and his group committed an "unpardonable act" by including Hania in the movie. The statement read, "The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) expresses its strongest condemnation and absolute outrage against actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, Gunbir Singh Sidhu, Manmord Sidhu and Director Amar Hundal, who have brazenly insulted the Indian film industry and disrespected national sentiment by hiring Pakistani actress Ms. Hania Aamir for their upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3… We respectfully urge that their passports be revoked without delay, and that they be permanently barred from availing any rights, privileges, or representation associated with Indian citizenship and national identity."
Hania was described as a "vocal propagandist against India" in the letter. The letter further added, “Hania Aamir is not merely a foreign artist. She is a vocal propagandist against India, who has used her platform to mock our armed forces, abuse India publicly, and shamelessly justify Pakistan's terror acts post Operation Sindoor. Her inclusion in any Indian film is nothing short of an insult to every Indian citizen, every martyr, and every family affected by cross-border terrorism.”
FWICE and AICWA call for a complete boycott of Diljit Dosanjh over casting Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3. CBFC urged to stall the film's certification.

The Central Board of Film Certification and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting were also contacted by FWICE, who demanded that the film's release in India be completely prohibited and that its censor certification be denied.
