Producer Vinod Bachchan returns with the follow-up to "Ginny Wedss Sunny" after a five-year hiatus. Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam will not play the main roles in this sequel; instead, the filmmakers will substitute Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr. With the new movie, Bachchan, who is well-known for her cherished successes like Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana and Tanu Weds Manu, will revive the charm of romance and comedy.

In 2020, Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey starred in the first Ginny Weds Sunny, which swiftly rose to the top of the Netflix viewing charts. The lead couple shared the news that the production company has announced the sequel's shoot.

In a statement, Bachchan discussed the sequel, saying, “We are excited to bring a new chapter to the Ginny Weds Sunny universe. Under the Soundrya Production label, Vinod Bachchan is the producer, and Prasshant Jha is the writer and director of the follow-up. Following her 12th Fail, Medha Shankr became well-known, with Vikrant Massey playing her opposite. In contrast, Avinash Tiwary has given strong performances in Madgaon Express, Bambai Meri Jaan, The Mehta Boys, and Laila Majnu. In Ginny Wedss Sunny, Vikrant Massey plays Sunny in the 2020 romantic comedy, while Yami Gautam plays Ginny. Vinod Bachchan is the producer, and Puneet Khanna is the director.
