"A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" takes place 72 years after the start of "House of the Dragon," but a century before the events of Game of Thrones. The series will release on HBO Max in January 2026 and will stream in India in January 2026. Ira Parker, a former House of the Dragon writer and co-creator of the next six-episode series, stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, “All decisions came down to Dunk, trying to channel the type of person he is into every aspect of this show, even the title sequence.”
The program will show how Duncan and Egg get to a tournament and meet Prince Aerion Targaryen, Prince Baelor Targaryen, and Prince Maekar Targaryen, among other Targaryen family members. Westeros, the enigmatic setting of the series, is a place where violence, strife, and power are constants.
The official synopsis said, "A century before the events of 'Game of Thrones,' two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros... a young, naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends. This thrilling story will once again bring viewers back to the world of Game of Thrones."
