'I hope it doesn’t turn out to be like Adipurush...' - Internet Divided with Yash and Ranbir's Ramayana First Look

In a video unveiling Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Laxman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana was formally launched on Thursday. Many were impressed by the film's visual effects and Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman's music, although there was some disagreement about the casting, especially with regard to Ranbir and Yash.

Numerous screenings in nine Indian cities and a significant presence in Times Square in New York were held to commemorate the debut, highlighting the project's worldwide scope. With its scope, narrative, and spectacle, the film Ramayana explores the timeless conflict between Rama and Ravana in an effort to enthral viewers everywhere.

On Reddit and X (previously Twitter), some users thought Yash ought to have portrayed Lord Ram in the movie. Some believed that another actor would have been more suitable for the role of Ram because Ranbir would be overshadowed by Yash. Meanwhile, the other part of the internet is divided on whether the movie would turn out to be the biggest blockbuster of the era or a flop like Adipurush.

The story, which is set in a mythical time when the cosmic trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva rules, centres on Ravana, an unusual demon kid who eventually rises to threaten the equilibrium of the universe. Vishnu descends to Earth as Rama in order to bring peace back, laying the groundwork for a titanic conflict. Sai Pallavi plays Sita, Sunny Deol plays Hanuman, Ravie Dubey plays Lakshman, Yash plays Ravana, and Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Ram. This filmmaker has pulled the biggest casting coup by signing some of the biggest actors of Indian cinema for the movie. Fans are excited to see their favourites in legendary characters.
