Due to his comments on Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent, Ranveer Allahbadia found himself in legal hot water last week. The well-known podcaster and YouTuber was the target of numerous complaints for suspected obscenity. Ranveer had been called in by the Mumbai police to be questioned. However, the YouTuber failed to appear for his second summons. The YouTuber had previously asked the police to record his statement at his home, but they had denied his request.
Despite all of this, it has been claimed that on Saturday, February 14, Allahbadia failed to appear at the police station. The vodcaster did not show up for the probe for the second time. Allabadia was scheduled to visit the Khar police station on Friday. But he did not appear.
The YouTuber's number was off and his house was locked when they attempted to reach him. There have been rumours about Ranveer going missing ever since. After thereafter, a Mumbai police team was dispatched to his locked Versova apartment. Khar police were escorted to Allahbadia's home by a group from the Assam Police as well.
India's Got Latent controversy takes a new twist:
Ranveer petitioned the Supreme Court on Friday for relief from the multiple FIRs that had been brought against him in various states because of his remarks on India's Got Talent. Abhinav Chandrachud, Allahbadia's attorney, filed the petition. Because he was worried about any potential action by the Guwahati police, Ranveer, also known as BeerBiceps, moved for anticipatory bail and requested protection from any coercive action. He has even been called in by the Guwahati Police for his comments during Samay Raina's performance.
The Mumbai Police also recorded the statements of at least six individuals in the case, including Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Makhija, and a number of others, similar to Ranveer. According to News18, the Cyber Cell has already brought legal action against at least 30 individuals. For years, Allahbadia and others have continued to face difficulties. On February 17, 2025, Ranveer, Samay, and a number of other people were summoned to the National Commission for Women's (NCW) New Delhi office to be questioned.
