Krrish 4 Movie Controversy: Hrithik Roshan and Aditya Chopra's Film Shelved Over Budget Conflict?

Officially in development, Krrish 4 is regarded as one of the most eagerly awaited movies in Indian cinema. Hrithik Roshan is directing the movie for the first time. He will also play a part in the movie. Fans are thrilled about the film Krrish 4. However,  according to a recent source, the movie has been shelved due to financial difficulties.

The superhero epic's estimated production expenses are the main source of dispute. With a budget of around Rs. 500 crores, Hrithik Roshan, who is slated to helm his first film, envisions a grand production. To ensure the film's financial viability, Aditya Chopra reportedly suggested an upper cap of Rs. 350 crores. After several rounds of negotiations, the partnership under the YRF umbrella has temporarily ceased due to artistic and financial disagreements.

The report revealed, "Hrithik is also a practical guy and has taken Aditya Chopra's feedback positively. He is relooking at certain feedback given by Adi, and at the same time, is in talks with other studios to fund the film. He is also looking to start another film before completely moving into Krrish 4. He has read multiple scripts and will green-light one very soon."

Since Krrish 4 has been postponed, Hrithik Roshan is anticipated to proceed with another acting role in the interim. According to reports, he has reviewed multiple scripts and is almost ready to approve a new project, which will be announced soon. The delay guarantees that the ultimate production of Krrish 4 will only start if the logistical and financial obstacles are entirely handled, even though fans will have to wait longer for the return of India's most renowned superhero.

Rakesh posted a photo of himself and his son on Instagram in 2025, saying that Hrithik was directing Krrish 4. The caption read, "Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings!"
