Mirzapur Teaser: Munna Bhaiya to Return as Kaleen & Guddu Unite?

Mirzapur, one of the most famous OTT shows, has kept viewers glued to their screens. The makers have recently revealed Mirzapur: The Film, months after the third season of Mirzapur was released. Prime Video India posted a video featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Abhishek Banerjee, and Divyenndu on X (previously Twitter) on Monday. 

The teaser of the upcoming Mirzapur: The film, is 1.30-minute long. It teases Divyenndu's (who portrayed Munna Tripathi in the web series) comeback. Fans missed him in the third season after his character was slain in the second. Supporters blasted the creators and called for his return. Divyenndu declared,  'I'm a Hindi film hero. A Hindi film is best enjoyed in a theatre. Need I remind you, I'm immortal'." The caption said, 'Diwali pe sabko mithai milti hai, lekin yeh lo, Mirzapur ki asli barfi'.

Puneet Krishna is the creator of the Mirzapur movie, while Gurmmeet Singh is the director. With its 2026 release, Pankaj Tripathi (Kaleen Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit), and Divyenndu (Munna) will make their comebacks. The series' compounder, played by Abhishek Banerjee, will also make a comeback. Prime subscribers will be able to stream the movie. 

Excel Entertainment producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar stated, 'It is a landmark milestone for us to bring the quintessential Mirzapur experience to our audiences, yet again, but this time on the big screen. Over the course of three successful seasons, this acclaimed franchise has struck all the right chords with fans through its powerful storytelling and memorable characters – from the likes of Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Bhaiya, and Munna Bhaiya, to name a few."

The producers also added, "We believe that adapting such a treasured series into a film will undoubtedly make for an even more engrossing watch, allowing audiences to immerse themselves in the world of Mirzapur like never before. We are stoked to collaborate with Prime Video, once again, and look forward to delivering a grand cinematic experience, which will truly live up to the expectations of our dedicated fanbase."
