At the release of the trailer for Housefull 5, producer Sajid Nadiadwala announced that the film, starring Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Akshay Kumar, will be the first to be released in theatres with multiple endings, setting a new record in both Indian and global cinema.

Producer Sajid explained the novel experiment during today's Housefull 5 trailer launch event in Mumbai. He revealed,"I have been thinking about this idea for the past 30 years - how to create a thriller with an X factor that leaves the audience talking long after they leave the theatre. So I came up with a story where every theatre will have a different killer.”

Housefull 5 Big Twist Revealed:

He further explained, "So if you watch it at Gaiety, it’ll have one killer. If you watch it at Galaxy, there’ll be somebody else. In PVR screen number 4, you’ll see a different killer, and in PVR screen number 5, yet another one. It’s like every time you watch the film, you’ll get a different ending."

Sajid asserted that this is the first time a notion of this kind has been developed globally, not just in India. Although Housefull 5's various endings are undoubtedly a novel approach for a Hindi movie, Sajid asserts that this isn't the first instance in global cinema history. The Hollywood black comedy mystery thriller Clue, based on the well-known board game of the same name, is arguably the first movie ever released in theatres with three distinct endings.

Actor Fardeen Khan said in the interview that the twist was revealed to the cast after filming was over and that even they were unaware of it. To keep the murder mystery secret, Sajid claimed that even half of the cast is unaware of the identity of the murderer.
