Salman Khan talked candidly about his preparations for his next movie, "Battle of Galwan," which will be filmed in the stunning but harsh landscape of Ladakh. Salman is giving "Battle of Galwan," which was directed by Apoorva Lakhia of "Shootout at Lokhandwala" fame, his all. He will turn 60 in December of this year. The 2020 clash between China and India in the Galwan Valley serves as the basis for the much-awaited war drama.
Talking to PTI, Salman said, "It is physically demanding. Every year, every month, every day, it gets more and more difficult. I've to give more time now. Earlier, I would do it in one or two weeks; now I'm running, kicking, punching, and all that stuff. This film demands that. For instance, in 'Sikandar', the action was different, and the character was different. But this is physically difficult. Besides, shooting in Ladakh, at high altitude and in cold water."
Salman Khan Increases Anticipation:
The actor just shared the first glimpse of "Battle of Galwan," and it quickly went viral. He was depicted in the eye-catching poster with a rough beard and a damaged, wounded visage. In the movie, which is based on actual events, Salman will play an Indian soldier. Salman Khan will portray Colonel B Santosh Babu, who commanded the forces during the conflict with the Chinese in the Galwan Valley in 2020. Chitrangda Singh plays the lead in the Apoorva Lakhia-directed movie.
According to the actor, the team will travel to Ladakh later this month to begin filming. He further added, "When I was signing the film, I thought it was amazing, but it's a very, very difficult film to do. I've 20 days in Ladakh and then seven to eight days in cold water. We will be shooting this month."
For his part in the "Battle of Galwan," Salman Khan is putting a lot of effort into his physical preparation. The actor is putting himself through a rigorous regimen to deal with the difficult terrain and altitude in Leh, where the first schedule is presently being filmed. He has drastically reduced his intake of carbohydrates, cut out fizzy drinks, and fully given up junk food and alcohol. Salman is concentrating on cardio and weight training in addition to a strict diet.
The actor is also practising in a specially designed high-pressure chamber at his home gym to help his body adapt to the high-altitude conditions of Ladakh. He is closely collaborating with a personal trainer to make sure he stays on course.
