On March 27, actor Salman Khan posted self-portraits to Instagram with the message, "See you in theaters on March 30!" In the post, the actor advertised his next movie, Sikandar. But what really drew our eye was the chic orange-strapped watch with a gold face that he was wearing in the pictures.

Salman Khan recently posted pictures of himself wearing the Ram Janmabhoomi edition watch on social media. The images went viral on the internet in a matter of minutes, receiving thousands of likes. The Sikandar star's promotion of the watch has drawn various responses; Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, president of the All India Muslim Jamaat and a clergyman from Barelvi, has called it "haram."

Trolls slam Salman Khan:

Salman Khan stirred up controversy and outrage when he showed off his Ram Mandir watch at the Sikandar campaign. In accordance with their religious convictions, Maulana Razvi has criticized the actor for the same and declared it unlawful. To PTI, Maulana Rizvi said, "I have been asked about Shariat’s ruling about Salman Khan. I tell you the Shariat’s ruling about the work done by him, that he is wearing a Ram Edition watch made for the promotion of Ram Mandir. Wearing such a watch in hand being a Muslim is illegal and haram. Salman Khan is a famous personality in India. He has millions of fans, and he is also a Muslim. If any Muslim, even if it is Salman Khan, promotes the Ram Mandir or any other non-Muslim thing, it is considered illegal and haram. I urge Salman Khan to follow the principles of Shariat."

Salman is renowned for his exquisite and opulent taste in acquiring exquisite timepieces and is a great horology lover. At ₹34 lakhs, this limited-edition Ram Janmabhoomi watch is extremely valuable. The "Epic X Ram Janmabhoomi Titanium Edition 2" watch, which was previously seen on Abhishek Bachchan, is available for purchase from Jacob & Co.

Meanwhile, sources state that the watch costs an astounding Rs 34 lakh. AR Murugadoss's Coming to Sikandar, which also features Rashmika Mandanna and Sathyaraj, will be released in theaters on March 30. According to reports, on its first day, the Salman Khan film sold over Rs 80,000 worth of tickets at the three main national theater chains.
