Due to his role in the Aryan Khan-directed OTT series, former drug cop Sameer Wankhede has filed a lawsuit in the Delhi High Court against Shah Rukh Khan and the Netflix series The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Wankhede has filed a lawsuit against Shah Rukh Khan and Red Chillies Entertainment, his company and the producer of The Ba***ds of Bollywood, seeking Rs 2 crore in damages, which he claims will be given to the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital to help cure cancer patients.
Taking it to his official social media handle Sameer said, "Sameer Wankhede, IRS Officer, has filed a defamation suit before the Delhi High Court seeking reliefs like permanent and mandatory injunction, declaration, and damages against Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd, owned by actor Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, the OTT platform, Netflix and others, having been aggrieved by a false, malicious, and defamatory video produced by Red Chillies and broadcast by Netflix as part of their television series titled The Ba***ds of Bollywood."

The Narcotics Control Bureau detained Aryan Khan, Ayaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha on October 3, 2021, and accused them of possessing, consuming, and selling or purchasing illegal substances. A day after the NCB stormed a cruise liner and claimed to have found illegal substances, they were arrested. In this case, twenty people had been taken into custody.
After arresting Aryan, former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede took the lead in the investigation and gained notoriety. Before being released on bail, Aryan Khan was detained for 25 days. Wankhede was removed from the case after being charged with blackmail, and all accusations against Khan were withdrawn in May 2022.
