Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan Starrer King Movie Signs Anil Kapoor For a BIG Role!

Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Siddharth Anand are getting back together for their next heart-pounding project, King, following the huge success of Pathaan. The movie, which reunites SRK with Deepika Padukone, looks to be a chic, realistic action drama, and has recently added Anil Kapoor to its cast.

Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, Arshad Warsi, and Jaideep Ahlawat play important roles in the movie as well. In a recent development, Anil Kapoor was also confirmed for a significant role in the action-packed movie, playing Khan's mentor. For those who are unfamiliar, SRK portrays a skilled assassin, and Anil's character will lead him into a grim world of high-stakes combat and espionage.

There were multiple actors considered for the part, but the team amicably feels that Anil Kapoor suits the role to the T. Anil is also excited to collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan on this mega-budget actioner.”

The source further revealed, “The first schedule kicks off around May 20 in Mumbai, followed by an international leg in Europe. The film has been written keeping the theatrical sensibilities of the modern audience in mind, and presents Shah Rukh Khan like never before – raw and rooted. The action sequences, too are designed balancing style with rawness”

The film is currently in the last phases of pre-production and is expected to start shooting in Mumbai from May 18 to May 20. The unit will fly to Europe for a major international leg after its India program. The movie will be filmed over 100 days in several places, with an October–December 2026 release window in mind. The romance song between Shah Rukh and Deepika, which is said to add emotional depth and interest to the screenplay, fuels the enthusiasm.

In terms of music, the film is taking a new sound approach with Sachin-Jigar composing the songs and Anirudh handling the background score. King is also Anil Kapoor and Siddharth Anand's second joint project. In Fighter, Kapoor portrayed a strong mentor to Hrithik Roshan, a character for which he received praise from critics.

King is positioned to be a tentpole smash and a daring new chapter in Shah Rukh Khan's action era thanks to its powerful combination of star power, new casting, sleek action, and global scope.
