It took six months for the Malayalam film's crowd favourite, Sthanarthi Sreekuttan, to be made available on an over-the-top platform. The film, which was directed by newbie Vinesh Viswanath, tells the endearing but innocent tale of a young kid on his journey of self-discovery while immersing himself in the vibrant world of a rural school.

This week marks the 2024 Malayalam film Sthanarthi Sreekuttan's OTT debut, six months after its theatrical release. Sthanarthi Sreekuttan would soon be accessible for streaming, according to a previous statement by Saina Play. The film will be available on the platform on June 20 at midnight.

The film's heartwarming narrative, endearing child performances, and, most importantly, its straightforward and uncomplicated approach to contemporary challenges won over everyone's hearts despite its lacklustre theatrical run and box office financial results. It is now prepared for a digital release to reach a larger audience.

"Candidate Sreekuttan" is the Malayalam translation of Sthanarthi Sreekuttan. Sreerang Shine portrays Sreekuttan, the main character. A rural school's activities, children's friendships, and humorous situations are all expertly shown in the film.
