The IPL 2025 and 2026 winners, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) had a dream run where they defended their IPL title with ease. RCB topped the points table with 9 wins from 14 games and then qualified for the final by defeating Gujarat Titans in Q1.
While they have a very settled squad for the upcoming IPL 2027, ahead of the mini auction, there are some players that RCB might want to offload so that they have more money to get better players in the auction that will take place in December this year.

3. Richard Gleeson
Richard Gleeson was picked as a backup pacer by RCB in IPL 2026, and he didn’t get to play any matches. RCB has a strong pace bowling attack led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood, with Rasikh Salam, Abhinandan Singh, Mangesh Yadav, and Jacob Duffy for support. The 38-year-old English pacer is likely to be released given that RCB will go for a younger backup in the auction.
2. Yash Dayal
Yash Dayal was withdrawn by RCB ahead of the IPL 2026 season due to the ongoing sexual harassment and rape cases against him. RCB didn’t sign Dayal’s replacement throughout the season but did well in his absence as they clinched their second successive title. He was signed for INR 5 crores, and while Dayal is now available for them, RCB might let him go, as they have found an able replacement in Rasikh Salam.
1. Jitesh Sharma
RCB have three wicketkeepers in their IPL 2026 squad, with Jitesh Sharma, Jordan Cox, and Phil Salt tasked with the duties. Jitesh Sharma has been a regular on their side, but RCB bought him for INR 11 crores and might release him to get all this money back for the IPL 2027 auction. Jitesh can be bought back for less money in the upcoming auction itself, or they can continue with Cox or Salt. Phil Salt missed the majority of last season due to a hand injury and managed 202 runs in 6 games for RCB.
