Jos Buttler, Jacob Bethell, Will Jacks, and Liam Livingstone will return to India on Wednesday to play the remaining IPL 2025 matches, while England players Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, and Jamie Overton will not be returning this week to play in the remaining games. Archer was purchased by the Rajasthan Royals in the super auction last year for an incredible Rs 12.50 crore, and he has already appeared in all 12 of the team's games.

Curran and Overton played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) this season, while Archer was a member of the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Notably, neither CSK nor RR will be competing in the playoffs. On Wednesday evening, Buttler is anticipated to land in India. Jack's, meanwhile, was present throughout MI's Thursday practice. The return of Phil Salt, who has been playing brilliantly for RCB in the IPL 2025, is still unclear, though.

IPL 2025 Playoffs Future of England Players:

CSK and RR have both been eliminated from the playoff race. According to a high-ranking official with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), some England players are coming back to finish the league matches, while others have decided not to. Their individual teams have also verified this development.

A Cricbuzz report states, “Information obtained from the ECB and franchises, Buttler, former England white-ball captain, will reach Ahmedabad on Wednesday night, and the same is the case with Will Jacks, the Mumbai Indians all-rounder, who should be at the Wankhede Stadium for practice from Thursday (April 15). Liam Livingstone, the all-rounder from Lancashire, who is with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), is believed to be on a flight to Bengaluru. There is, however, no clarity on Phil Salt, the other recruit from England, but Bethell is understood to be on his way to India."

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player Moeen Ali is still unsure if he will return. Munir Ali, his father, told the website in question that he will be able to provide further details within the next day. The IPL returns to Bengaluru on May 17 following a one-week hiatus. The summit match is scheduled on June 3, and the knockout stages begin on May 29.
