Kagiso Rabada attracted bids from the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans right away, so the Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction started with the first list of players. The Mumbai Indians were interested in the South African pacer, who had a base price of INR 2 crore and made a bid of INR 5.25 crore halfway through.Β
So far, the right-arm pacer has played for two IPL clubs. When he signed with the Delhi Capitals in 2017, his tournament career officially began. He played six games and took as many wickets in his debut season. Due to an injury, he missed the entire 2018 season before making a spectacular comeback in the 2019 IPL.
Kagiso Rabada to wear Gujarat Titans Jersey:
As soon as MI entered the game, RCB withdrew their bid, but GT remained firm and refused to back down. With a bid of INR 8.25 crore, RCB entered the race and continued till MI kept their paddle down. However, GT, who had been involved from the beginning, had the final say because they had paid 10.5 crore to acquire the pacer's rights.
Rabada's old team, the Punjab Kings, was asked by the auctioneer if they wanted to utilize the RTM card. Rabada will be seen wearing the GT shirt in the 2025 Indian Premier League since PBKS, who had the largest purse amount at 110.5 crore, declined to utilize the RTM. Check out how Twitter has reacted to the GT purchase.

Just saw Rabada was sold for 10.75 crores to Gujarat Titans. Guess they figured, why settle for a regular fast bowler when you can have a Rabada-licious express delivery machine? ππΈ #SpeedMerchant #GT
