IPL 2025 Auctions: Rishad Hossain has Low Hopes From Bidders

The Indian Premier League's (IPL 2025) mega auction is quickly approaching; it is scheduled to take place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25 and will feature 574 players in total. Rishad Hossain of Bangladesh would be one of the auction's celebrities. The 22-year-old recently shared his opinions about the impending IPL auction. Although he stated his desire to participate in the tournament, he stated that he did not have high expectations for the auction.

He stated that he would be thrilled to play for the Chennai Super Kings in the competition and that, if he were chosen by another team in the auction, he would be devastated. Daily Star quoted Rishad saying, "Everyone has a wish (to play in the IPL). But I don't expect too much. I don't hope too much so that I don't have to get hurt. I didn't think of anything like this. Suppose I thought of Chennai (Super Kings), but if I get picked by another team. Then I may feel bad."

Notably, Hossain was picked by the Hobart Hurricanes for the BBL, but he has been worried about playing for the Rangpur Riders of Bangladesh in the Global Super League. The young cricket player also disclosed that he wants to improve himself match by match and has never planned out his objectives.

For young players, franchise leagues like the BBL and IPL are essential because they provide exposure to high-pressure scenarios, skill development opportunities, and the opportunity to compete against international stars. If Rishad is chosen by the Hobart Hurricanes, he may get priceless experience and have the chance to study under cricket greats like Ricky Ponting.
